Privacy Policy

WFIR (وفّر) is a student discount service based in Amman, Jordan. This page explains what we collect when you use wfir-app.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions go to support@wfir-app.com.

What we collect

If you sign up as a student: your full name, university email, university, gender, and the language you used. If you used the savings calculator, we save the estimate it showed you.

If you apply as a business: the business name, contact person, email, mobile number, category and number of branches.

For everyone who signs up: the page you signed up on and how you reached us — for example, a link from our Instagram, a campaign tag in the link, or the site that referred you. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

Why we use it

• To create your account and confirm you are a student or staff member at a university.
• To email you your login and tell you when the app launches, including your early sign-up offer.
• To show you the discounts that apply to your university.
• To contact businesses that ask to join.
• To understand which of our posts and campaigns bring people to WFIR, in total — not to profile you.

Who can see it

Only the WFIR team, through a password-protected admin dashboard. We do not sell your data. Partner businesses do not receive your name or email; they see totals, such as how many students used their offer.

We use a small number of service providers to run the site: Supabase (database, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (sending emails) and FormSubmit (sign-up notifications to our team). They process data only to provide those services to us.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete it, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep a record.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email support@wfir-app.com from the address you signed up with and we will reply within 14 days. These rights follow Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law.

Security

Your data is stored in access-controlled systems. The website can add new sign-ups but cannot read existing ones, and only named team members can open the admin dashboard.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will email you first.
